He's Not Helpless

So after dinner tonight I was watching the MFBE put the dishes in the dishwasher and I decided that I secretly critique him to much and act like he's helpless when he really isn't. I of course like to be in control and have things done my way, which hey, who doesn't right? But I also realized that he has his own way of doing things and that does not make him wrong and me right, wow I'm so glad I finally realized this life lesson. Not to brag about myself too much, but I must say that when I realize that I'm wrong I can usually bow out gracefully and admit it, it just might take me a day or two to actually admit that I'm wrong. So here are the times that I a secretly criticize the MFBE (and sometimes outloud), starting with the incident that triggered this epiphany that I guess I am not always right.

- when he was loading the dishwasher today he stepped outside to grab stuff off of the grill but left the dishwasher open. I immediately looked at where he put everything in the dishwasher and started rearranging all the dishes in my head to where I thought that should be. To my defense I was thinking about space conservation.

- when he puts dishes away I usually can't find stuff because he has his own unique place of putting things.

- I won't let him do the laundry because he mixes his whites with his colors.

- I rarely let him cook because lets face it...I'm scurred. One time he cooked for me when we first started dating and he was bragging about how good the meal is that he made and when I tried it I almost puked it up. Come to find out he mixed bbq sauce and ranch together and mixed that mixture in with rice and chicken. I HATE BBQ SAUCE. In his defense however, he didn't know that I hated bbq sauce at the time, but I have been hesitant ever sense to eat his cooking.

- Sometimes I critique the driving routes he chooses because it's not my driving route.

...and I'm sure there are a lot more things I do. So with that being said, I'm sorry I judge you baby, your not wrong, I'm not wrong we're both different and I will try to keep that in mind in the future! :)

Hey, I'm just amazed that he's emptying the dishwasher at all. When we were little, Nick always got to clean the living room instead of the kitchen for the reasons you just mentioned. In reality, he's come a long way. However, there's no excuse for not sorting your whites and darks.
